Day 2Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx · Saqqara and Memphis
The Great Pyramid, the Valley Temple and the Sphinx. The Step Pyramid of Djoser and the colossus of Ramses II.
Day 3Grand Egyptian Museum · Khan el-Khalili · Sleeper train to Aswan
Tutankhamun's treasures in the new museum beside the pyramids. The old bazaar and its cafés. A private cabin overnight, with dinner and breakfast.
Day 4High Dam and Philae · Felucca sail · Board your Nile cruise
The Aswan High Dam, then a boat to the Temple of Isis on Philae. A traditional sailboat around Elephantine Island. Cabin, lunch and dinner on board.
Day 5Kom Ombo and Edfu
Sailing north, with the double temple at Kom Ombo and the Temple of Horus at Edfu.
Day 6Karnak and Luxor Temple
The great Hypostyle Hall at Karnak, then Luxor Temple.
Day 7Disembark · Luxor West Bank · Sleeper train to Cairo
Leave the ship after breakfast. The Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. A private cabin overnight, with dinner and breakfast.
Day 8Coptic Cairo
The Hanging Church, Abu Serga and the Ben Ezra Synagogue.
Day 9Drive to Alexandria · Alexandria · Back to Cairo
Three hours north to the Mediterranean. The Catacombs of Kom el-Shoqafa, Pompey's Pillar, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and the Citadel of Qaitbay. Drive back to your hotel in Cairo.
Day 10Departure from Cairo
Transfer to Cairo airport and help with check-in.
