Private tour guides in Egypt

Every trip we run comes with a licensed Egyptologist guide on each sightseeing day. You travel privately, with your own guide, vehicle and driver, and one coordinator on WhatsApp from arrival to departure.

What your guide does

  • Licensed Egyptologists

Your guide holds an Egyptian guiding licence and studied the sites they show you. They explain what you are looking at, in plain words, and answer the questions you actually have.

  • Yours alone

No coach and no strangers. The guide is with your party only, in a private air-conditioned vehicle with its own driver.

  • At your pace

Start early to beat the heat, stay longer where you are curious, skip what does not interest you. The day bends around you, including children and grandparents.

  • In your language

Tell us the language you want your guide to speak when you ask for your quote. We confirm it in your proposal before you book.

Questions about tour guides in Egypt

Is the tour guide included in the price?
Yes. Every package includes a licensed Egyptologist guide on each sightseeing day, with entrance fees to the sites in the itinerary and private transfers.
Can I book a guide for one day only?
Yes. Our day tours in Cairo, Giza, Luxor, Aswan and Alexandria each come with a private guide, a vehicle and a driver, with pickup from your hotel or ship.
Will I have the same guide for the whole trip?
You usually have one guide per city, because guides are licensed and based locally. Your coordinator stays the same for the whole trip and briefs each guide before you arrive.
Should I tip my guide in Egypt?
Tipping is customary and not included in our prices. We send suggested amounts with your travel pack so you know what is normal before you land.
