Giza, Old Cairo, Alexandria, Luxor from a balloon, the road to Aswan and Abu Simbel.

1. Day 1Arrival in Cairo · Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx · Saqqara and Memphis · Sound and light show+

   Met inside the terminal and driven to your hotel. The Great Pyramid, the Valley Temple and the Sphinx. The Step Pyramid of Djoser and the colossus of Ramses II. The pyramids lit up after dark.

2. Day 2Coptic Cairo · Islamic Cairo · Khan el-Khalili+

   The Hanging Church, Abu Serga and the Ben Ezra Synagogue. The mosques of Sultan Hassan and Al-Rifa'i. The old bazaar and its cafés.

3. Day 3Drive to Alexandria · Alexandria · Back to Cairo+

   Three hours north to the Mediterranean. The Catacombs of Kom el-Shoqafa, Pompey's Pillar, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and the Citadel of Qaitbay. Drive back to your hotel in Cairo.

4. Day 4Fly to Luxor · Luxor West Bank · Karnak and Luxor Temple+

   An early flight south. The Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. The great Hypostyle Hall at Karnak, then Luxor Temple.

5. Day 5Hot air balloon at dawn · Road to Aswan: Edfu and Kom Ombo+

   A sunrise flight over the West Bank. The Temple of Horus at Edfu and the double temple at Kom Ombo on the way.

6. Day 6Abu Simbel · Fly back to Cairo+

   An early drive south to the temples of Ramses II and Nefertari. An evening flight to Cairo.

7. Day 7Departure from Cairo+

   Transfer to Cairo airport and help with check-in.
