Tutankhamun's treasures in the new museum beside the pyramids. The Great Pyramid, the Valley Temple and the Sphinx. The old bazaar and its cafés.
Day 3Saqqara and Memphis
The Step Pyramid of Djoser and the colossus of Ramses II.
Day 4The Citadel · Coptic Cairo · Fly to Aswan
Saladin's fortress and the Mosque of Muhammad Ali. The Hanging Church, Abu Serga and the Ben Ezra Synagogue. An early flight south.
Day 5High Dam and Philae · Felucca sail · Board your Nile cruise
The Aswan High Dam, then a boat to the Temple of Isis on Philae. A traditional sailboat around Elephantine Island. Cabin, lunch and dinner on board.
Day 6Kom Ombo and Edfu
Sailing north, with the double temple at Kom Ombo and the Temple of Horus at Edfu.
Day 7Karnak and Luxor Temple
The great Hypostyle Hall at Karnak, then Luxor Temple.
Day 8Disembark · Luxor West Bank · Fly back to Cairo
Leave the ship after breakfast. The Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. An evening flight to Cairo.
Day 9Departure from Cairo
Transfer to Cairo airport and help with check-in.
