Giza, the Cave Church and Old Cairo, a night in the White Desert, and a day in Luxor.

1. Day 1Arrival in Cairo · Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx · Grand Egyptian Museum+

   Met inside the terminal and driven to your hotel. The Great Pyramid, the Valley Temple and the Sphinx. Tutankhamun's treasures in the new museum beside the pyramids.

2. Day 2Cave Church of Mokattam+

   The Monastery of Saint Simon, carved into the hillside.

3. Day 3Coptic Cairo · Islamic Cairo · Khan el-Khalili+

   The Hanging Church, Abu Serga and the Ben Ezra Synagogue. The mosques of Sultan Hassan and Al-Rifa'i. The old bazaar and its cafés.

4. Day 4Bahariya Oasis · Black and White Desert+

   Four hours west of Cairo: palm groves, hot springs and the Golden Mummies. By 4x4 past the Black Desert and Crystal Mountain to the chalk towers of the White Desert; dinner and a night under the stars.

5. Day 5Back to Cairo+

   Drive back to your hotel in Cairo.

6. Day 6Fly to Luxor · Luxor West Bank · Karnak and Luxor Temple · Fly back to Cairo+

   An early flight south. The Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. The great Hypostyle Hall at Karnak, then Luxor Temple. An evening flight to Cairo.

7. Day 7Departure from Cairo+

   Transfer to Cairo airport and help with check-in.
