Overview

Giza and Old Cairo, both banks of Luxor, then Edfu, Kom Ombo and Aswan by road.

1. Day 1Arrival in Cairo+

   Met inside the terminal and driven to your hotel.

2. Day 2Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx · Grand Egyptian Museum+

   The Great Pyramid, the Valley Temple and the Sphinx. Tutankhamun's treasures in the new museum beside the pyramids.

3. Day 3Coptic Cairo · The Citadel · Fly to Luxor+

   The Hanging Church, Abu Serga and the Ben Ezra Synagogue. Saladin's fortress and the Mosque of Muhammad Ali. An early flight south.

4. Day 4Luxor West Bank · Karnak and Luxor Temple+

   The Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. The great Hypostyle Hall at Karnak, then Luxor Temple.

5. Day 5Road to Aswan: Edfu and Kom Ombo+

   The Temple of Horus at Edfu and the double temple at Kom Ombo on the way.

6. Day 6High Dam and Philae · Felucca sail · Nubian village+

   The Aswan High Dam, then a boat to the Temple of Isis on Philae. A traditional sailboat around Elephantine Island. Tea in a painted house on the West Bank of Aswan.

7. Day 7Fly back to Cairo · Departure from Cairo+

   An evening flight to Cairo. Transfer to Cairo airport and help with check-in.
